Mom's Day Out (MDO) Program

MDO is fantastic program that allows parents to have a 3 hour break from the kiddos one day a week.
This is a great time to get a hair cut, pedicure, schedule a Dr. appointment, volunteer at an older childs school, or, shop at Target without "help." Our goal while you are out is to keep kids happy, safe and engaged. It's run like a preschool without any preschool affiliation. We have arts and crafts, recess, snack, music class and lots of freeplay.
Mom's Day Out is a community outreach program of Kent United Methodist Church.
It was organized by a group of mothers to provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere for their children allowing them some personal time. The children are divided into age groups to better provide age appropriate activities. The children take part in creative and social activities such as drawing, painting, stories, songs, crafts, snack time, and free play.
MDO is very affordable.
It only costs $45 a month per child! It breaks down to about $3.75 an hour per child! Contact the church office at general@kentmethodist.com for more information regarding registration for Mom's Day Out.
Hours
The hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, September through June. Enrollment is limited to one day a week per child.
Tuition and Fees
There is a yearly $45 non-refundable registration fee per child that covers supplies. A $45 payment per child must accompany the registration form in order for your child(ren) to be registered. Please make checks out to MDO. Registration fee(s) will be refunded if we are unable to place your child(ren). Tuition is $45 per month per child. Due to our obligation to pay teacher's salaries, there are no deductions for missed days.
Work Day Obligations
Each mother or father is required to assist as a parent helper two times per year per child. Specifics regarding these work days are outlined in the Parent Program Handbook.
