Bibles for 3 year-olds: Our 3 year-olds receive a
Children’s Bible when they enter Sunday School in September.
Bibles for 3rd Graders: Our 3rd graders receive NRSV Bibles
in September.
Summer Sunday School: During the summer months, parents
volunteer in combined classes using prepared materials provided by KUMC
Children’s Ministries.
Teacher Training:
Children’s Ministries offers training on
various topics throughout the school year ranging from personal spiritual
growth to the nuts and bolts of preparing a lesson plan and running a
classroom.
Partnering with Parents:
As a parent or guardian, you have more influence over your child’s developing relationship with God than anyone else, including their Sunday school teachers! Every Sunday your child will bring home a 4-page leaflet that has the weekly Bible verse, Bible story, and additional information relating to the lesson. Make a point to ask your child about what they learned in Sunday school that day. You can also read the Bible story to them from your own Bible and review the Bible verse with them. Discuss with them how they can apply what they’ve learned to their everyday lives. Please feel free to talk with the Sunday school teachers or Nancy Maimone if we could be of help with this.

How Can I Help?
There are many easy, fun ways you can use
your unique gifts and talents to support your child’s Sunday school
experience. Our teaching staff welcomes your helping hands in the classroom,
snack donations, classroom adoption, photography skills, help with bulletin
boards, or any other way you might want to serve. Fill out the “I Can Help!”
flyer available in your child’s classroom or call Nancy Maimone to see
how you can get involved!
